Investment & Immigration Programs in The U.S.
EB-5 is a US immigration by investment program approved by the US Congress in 1990, administered by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), to solve high unemployment or the economic slowdown of some local regions in the United States.
In 2003, the U.S. Government allowed projects located in regional investment incentives (Regional Centers) to attract investment from many countries in the world, including Vietnam. Each year, they spend 10,000 green cards (permanent visas) for this immigrant. Including 3,000 green cards are issued to investors participating in the project under the management of the Regional Center.
EB-5 investors are involved with a minimum investment of 500,000 USD.
The program is for entrepreneurs who have management experience and invest into the U.S. to open a new company. The program requires two main elements:
- Management experience of the investor
EB-3 is a program approved by the US Immigration Department, which attract labor for economic development in areas with labor shortages in the United States.
This program allows the applicant to become a permanent resident of the United States (green card) by engaging in full-time and permanent work at a legitimate US corporation.
Participants must meet the health requirements for full-time and non-seasonal work in the United States. Applicants may have less than two years of work or training experience, be accompanied by a family (including spouse and children under 21 years old, unlimited number) with unconditional permanent resident status.
